Packing List

Where, how long, how warm, and whether there is a dinner. A checklist sized for one carry-on, with the counts worked out and your ticks saved.

The Packing List applies the carry-on method to your trip. Tell it the kind of trip, the number of nights, the climate and any occasions, and it produces a list with quantities, built around a palette where everything goes with everything. Tick as you pack; it remembers where you were.

Counts follow the rule of three for anything worn against the skin, with sink washing assumed on trips over four nights. Add your own items at the bottom. The list is designed to fit a 40-litre bag; if it does not, you have added too much.

Questions we get asked

What if I am checking a bag anyway?

Use the list as the core and add the luxuries. The discipline still saves you decisions in the morning.

Does it cover business trips?

Yes: choose business and the list adds the suit, the shirts and the shoes, and takes away the swim shorts unless the hotel has a pool.

Where is my list saved?

In this browser only. Nothing is sent to us. Clear it with the reset button when you are home.
