Home Bar

Tick the bottles and the fresh things you have. See every classic you can make right now, and the one bottle that would unlock the most.

A guest names a drink and you look at the shelf. The Home Bar knows thirty classic cocktails and what goes in each. Tick what you own and it shows which drinks are ready, which are one ingredient away, and which single bottle would add the most to your repertoire.

The recipes are the standard specifications used in good bars, in millilitres. The tool assumes you own ice, a spoon and something to stir in. Your ticks are saved in this browser so the list is ready next Saturday.

Questions we get asked

What if I do not have a shaker?

Most of the classics are stirred. For the shaken ones a large jam jar with a tight lid works better than most people expect.

Are the specs fixed?

They are starting points. A Martini is anywhere from 3:1 to 8:1 depending on the drinker; the tool gives the version that most bartenders would pour first.

Why is vodka listed?

Because guests ask for it. It appears in exactly two drinks on the list and is not required for any of the others.
