The Watch Finder scores twenty-six mechanical watches, from a €500 Seiko to a €35,000 Audemars Piguet, against four things you tell it: what you will spend, how big your wrist is, how formally you dress and how hard the watch will live. It returns three, with the reasoning.
The list is editorial and deliberately short: watches from makers with a service network that will exist in thirty years, at prices we would pay. Indicative retail or fair pre-owned prices as of 2026. Try the three on before you buy any of them.
Questions we get asked
Why is my favourite brand missing?
The list is twenty-six watches, not two hundred. It covers the styles and price bands that matter for a first, second or third serious watch. Microbrands and fashion brands are left out on purpose.
Are the prices accurate?
They are indicative 2026 retail prices, or fair pre-owned prices where retail is theoretical because of waiting lists. Your dealer will quote you the real number.
What does the fit score mean?
How well the case diameter and lug-to-lug length suit your wrist, based on the same rules as the Wrist Fit tool.
